No microphone. The tone is made on your device.

WHY THIS GAME

A tiny daily ear-training route.

Pitch Path plays one clean synthesized piano-range tone at a time. Choose the note name, get immediate feedback, and finish a ten-question route. Easy mode uses a C-major triad; Full Path opens the seven natural notes from C4 to B4.

THE LOOP

Learn it in one round.

  1. 01

Choose Easy Notes for C4, E4, and G4, or Full Path for all seven natural notes from C4 through B4.

  2. 02

Select Start ear run. Your browser synthesizes the first tone after that click.

  3. 03

Replay the tone as often as needed, then choose the note name you heard.

QUICK ANSWERS

Before you play

Is Pitch Path free?

Yes. Both note sets and every ten-question run are free, with no account or download.

Does Pitch Path use my microphone?

No. It only sends synthesized sound to your speakers or headphones and never requests microphone permission.

Why can I not hear a tone?

Check the device volume and silent mode, then tap Replay tone. Browsers require the first sound to follow a user action such as Start.

Is this a perfect-pitch test?

It is a casual practice game, not a diagnosis or certification of absolute pitch.
